The Rev. Alexander Bisset was born on the 12th May 1839, in the Parish of Kiltarlity, Inverness-shire, and entered Blairs College 26th July 1856. He was sent to the Scots College of Valladolid, 14th September 1858, where he received the Tonsure and Minor Orders on the 19th, and that of Subdeacon on the 20th February 1864, from the Archbishop of Valladolid. He was ordained Deacon, 12th March, by the Bishop of Avila; and promoted to the Priesthood on the 21st May, same year, by the Archbishop of Valladolid in his private Chapel.
